WHAT WYNGS IS
A CURRICULUM, NOT A CLUB
WYNGS is structured FPV pilot training — not casual drone lessons and not a simulator club. Every cohort follows the same instructor-led curriculum: theory, simulator training, deliberate practice and competency checks, with progress tracked in the WYNGS app between sessions. Cohorts are capped at six students so every pilot gets real instructor attention.

Yerevan's founding cohorts begin in a rented or private training space while the academy's presence here grows — not yet a permanent, dedicated WYNGS facility. Students bring their own laptop and radio to every session.

CADET, THEN PILOT
Every beginner starts as a Cadet. Badges and qualifications are earned by passing required competencies — completing classes alone doesn't make you a WYNGS Pilot. If an assessment doesn't go your way, you keep learning in the same cohort and retry it — normal reassessment is included in your membership, and incomplete badges just stay visibly incomplete until you earn them.

Two cohorts — Kids/Teens and Adults — each capped at six students. A cohort is confirmed once four places are reserved, and its regular days are agreed with the group once it forms, around what works for everyone.

THE FOUNDING COHORT PRICE
One membership, published in both currencies. This is the founding cohort's price — an early, small-group rate, not the number future WYNGS cohorts will be priced against.

CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
You can cancel starting next month. The month you've already paid for is not refundable.

One exception: cancel before you've had a single class and you're refunded in full.
IF YOUR COHORT NEVER FILLS
If your cohort doesn't reach its minimum and never runs, you choose — a full refund, or one of WYNGS's alternatives: moving to another cohort, or holding your place for the next start.
Anything not covered above — exact timing, method, or your specific situation — will be confirmed with you in writing when you reserve your place.
WHAT YOU NEED
YOUR OWN LAPTOP, RADIO AND SIMULATOR
Your first setup is deliberately simple: your own laptop, a radio transmitter and simulator software. The radio remains useful when you progress from simulation to real FPV aircraft — nothing you buy now is thrown away later.
A COMPATIBLE LAPTOP
Windows 10 or 11, able to run Steam games at 1080p. Already own one that fits? You're set — see the requirements below.
AN APPROVED ELRS RADIO TRANSMITTER
The academy standard is ExpressLRS (ELRS). See recommended models below — no need to buy the most expensive one.
A STEAM ACCOUNT
Free to create — this is how you install both simulator titles.
LIFTOFF: FPV DRONE RACING & LIFTOFF: MICRO DRONES
The academy's simulator stack. Buy and install both before your first session — the licences are yours, and stay yours afterwards.
Academy tuition is separate from equipment you own. If you already have a compatible laptop, expect roughly $100–120 in personal equipment and software: an entry ELRS radio from about $70, plus the two Liftoff titles at roughly $36 total at standard list pricing (before regional pricing or sales). Third-party prices change — treat these as approximate, not a quote.

LATER, WHEN YOU'RE READY
THE EQUIPMENT YOU DON'T NEED YET
You don't need goggles, a Tiny Whoop, a 5-inch racing quad, batteries, chargers or soldering gear to start — none of it at enrolment, and none of it before you're ready for it. As you progress into real FPV flight, you'll eventually need goggles and your first micro FPV drone. We'll help you choose a compatible setup when you reach that stage, including preconfigured starter packages at more than one price point — there's no need to buy any of it before you start.

Coaching accelerates mastery of what your cohort has already covered. It never unlocks curriculum ahead of your cohort, and you never need it because you failed an assessment — retries are already included in your membership.

No. The founding cohorts are built for complete beginners — ground school and simulator time come first for every cadet, no exceptions.
No. You bring a laptop, an ELRS radio and simulator software — the academy's aircraft come later, once you progress into real flight.
No. Goggles come later, when you progress from simulator to real flight — we'll help you choose a compatible pair when you reach that stage.
You practice and retry — normal reassessment is included in your membership. Your cohort continues and you keep learning alongside it; qualifications are only awarded once you actually demonstrate the competency.
No. Retries are included in your membership. 1:1 coaching is an optional way to work faster, never a requirement after a failed assessment.
Both — classes run in Russian and/or English depending on the cohort.

1 September 2026 is the target — once each cohort's minimum enrolment (4 of 6 places) is confirmed. The exact weekly days are agreed with each group once it forms, around what works for its members.
Membership pricing is published in both currencies — pick whichever is easier once your cohort is confirmed; we never convert one into the other on the fly. The $100 reservation deposit is paid online in USD through Stripe; we'll publish an AMD deposit amount once it's confirmed.
